Communion: November 12 & 26

Salvation Army Lunches- On the first and third Monday of each month The Bridge will be providing lunch for clients at the Salvation Army. The meals are served from 1-2:30 pm and we need a rotation of people to set up and serve. You can sign up to provide food or volunteer on the Meal Train below.

HyFi- This month at HyFi we are going all in and learning that “I am made for community!” We want your kids to know that God gives all of us a place to belong. HyFi is for kids and families and meets on the second Sunday of every month from 6:00-7:30 in the Fellowship Hall

November Memory Verse- This month our Bridge Kids are memorizing Matthew 6:19-21 Music makes scripture memory easy! Check out this link with a song you can play in the car or at home.

Children’s Choir- Our Bridge Kids will be participating in the morning Worship Service on 12/24. Practices will be held the last 15 minutes of service each Sunday beginning December 3rd. Students in K-Middle School are invited to attend. In preparation, please have your kids listen to and learn this song on YouTube.

Thanksgiving Worship & Dessert Fellowship- This special night of Thanksgiving worship will help us center our hearts on the good gifts our heavenly Father has given us. It's the perfect way to begin the holiday season! Following worship, we will gather in the Fellowship Hall to share dessert together. Please bring a dessert to share. Register on Church Center or HERE.

Friendsgiving- Who doesn’t love Friendsgiving?! Middle and High School students, bring a favorite family dish, invite your friends, and meet us in the Fellowship Hall on Sunday, November 26 from 6-7:30 PM for dinner and fun.

Prepare Him Room- It’s easy to get caught up in the details of the holidays and miss the Savior. Women, here is an invitation to intentionally make space to seek Jesus amid the season. Discover that the Christmas story is better than we’ve ever known as we dive into its historical and cultural context. Join us for dinner, worship and a live simulcast with teacher Kristi McClelland on Thursday, December 7 at 6:00. Let’s celebrate the birth of our Savior and embrace the true meaning of Christmas. Christmas Cheer Packages- Did you know there are people in our Bridge Family who aren’t able to make it to church because of health issues? We would love to take them some holiday cheer! If you’d like to donate baked goods, chapstick, lotion, cozy socks or other small items for the care packages please see Natalie Runyon.  

Christmas Ministry Opportunity- Our Bridge Family has an opportunity to provide gifts for a local family. The items we need will be listed on paper ornaments on the Christmas tree in the foyer beginning on November 26. Choose one or two to purchase, and then return your unwrapped gift to the church no later than 12/17. Questions? See Natalie or Cathy.

Christmas Candlelight Service- The Candlelight Service is a special night of worship at The Bridge. Bring your friends and family and join us Sunday, December 17 at 6:00 PM. This service fills up quickly, so plan to arrive early.

The Bridge Family cookbooks are now available! Featuring the best recipes from your favorite Bridge cooks, these make a great, budget friendly gift that gives back. All proceeds from the cookbook sales will benefit our ministry partners. Cookbooks can be purchased on Church Center or on Sunday mornings at The Bridge. Only a limited number remain!

As a church that is for our city, we want to encourage those who call The Bridge their home to check out and support local events and live missionally in our community.

November 5: First Fridays Late Night Art & Shopping Experience in Downtown Alton from 5-9pm.

November 17: Tree Lighting at Lincoln-Douglas Square 6-7pm

November 25: Green Gift Bazaar on Small Business Saturday 10am-4pm

Have you heard the BUZZ? Honeybee Vintage is coming to Downtown Alton, and will feature vintage, antiques, and other sweet finds! Several members of our Bridge Family are involved in this venture, led by Melissa Bland. Follow along @honeybeevintagealton or visit the website to learn more!

Advent Study for Women- Have a little lunch break? We’d love for you to join us on Tuesdays in November and December as we walk through an Advent study focusing on the power and perfection of Jesus. Class meets from 12:00-12:45 pm beginning on 11/14. Beholding the Glory- A journey of faith, the visual arts and culture. Every week, a new Bible lesson and topic will be explored, supported by film clips, paintings, literature, music, and poetry. Class is led by Dan Nickel on Sunday mornings at 9 AM.

Men's Bible Study- Tuesday mornings from 7-8, the men of The Bridge meet to study and discuss the upcoming week's sermon text. Coffee and donuts are provided.

Community Groups- There are a variety of Community Groups that meet throughout the year. To find a Community Group that’s right for you, or to learn more about leading or hosting a group, see Pastor Jon.
