June Announcements
/Graduate Sunday- We want to celebrate with our high school and college graduates as they reach this milestone in their lives! We will recognize graduates and present them with a gift on Sunday, June 14. If you are a 2026 graduate, please contact Natalie Runyon by June 3.
Bridge Family, We’d love for you to write a favorite verse or a note of encouragement to our graduates, and place your note inside the Bibles we will be gifting them. Because we have so many graduates, we will provide post-it notes and pens on both June 7 and 14. Thanks for your love and support for these young adults!

Holier Than Thou: In this four week book study led by Karen LaBoube, we will deepen our understanding of the holiness of God. Jackie Hill Perry passionately unfolds scripture to focus on God as holy. And it is in a clearer understanding of this we can see powerful good news that God himself is the most trustworthy of all. Class meets on Tuesday mornings from 9-10:30 am in the cafe. Childcare available. Register at https://thebridgealton.churchcenter.com/registrations/events/3612852
Christ-Centered Family:Join us this summer for a study for Moms as we go through Christ-Centered Family by The Daily Grace Co. We’ll meet Wednesdays from 10–11 AM at local parks for conversation and time in God’s Word while our kids play nearby. If you’re a mom looking for faith-filled community this summer, you’re welcome to join us! Questions? See Sarah Beiser. Grounded in Truth Yoga Series: Join us for an all levels yoga class series designed for all ages and body types, led by Shea Radcliff! We will use gentle movements that strengthen and lengthen our bodies and minds. It’s also a great way to slow down enough to just sit and be with our God, to be reminded of his goodness through movement and fellowship. Class is held on Fridays at 9 AM, beginning June 5. Childcare available. Register at https://thebridgealton.churchcenter.com/registrations/events/3607358
Forgotten God- What if the thing our churches are missing isn’t a something, but a Someone? Francis Chan’s Forgotten God seeks to reverse our neglect of the Holy Spirit by exposing the enormous gap between what Scripture says about the Spirit and how most believers and churches operate today. Through solid scriptural support and compelling narrative, Chan reveals the Holy Spirit as the Bible describes Him. His goal isn’t merely to educate readers—it’s to infuse reader’s lives with the presence of the Holy Spirit in profound ways. Join us for this book study led by Mike Solomon. Study will meet in the Adult Education Room. Participants need a copy of the book Forgotten God by Francis Chan. Register to attend at https://thebridgealton.churchcenter.com/registrations/events/3653770
Koz- KOZ is designed for boys between the ages of 8-18 years old. It provides an opportunity for them to learn outdoor skills while developing relationships with other like-minded boys and the men who are mentoring them. In June, we will be attending the Fishing Fair at Pere Marquette park. We will meet at the lodge at 10 am. Transportation is available for those who need it. For more details see Jacob Clendenen.
Church Directory: Did you know we have a Church Directory?? You can find it in the Church Center app. Download the app, select your church, and once there, check out the Directory. Is your info there? If not, see Natalie Runyon. Our goal is to have everyone in the church family added to the Directory by the end of the summer. We appreciate your help!
As a church that is for our city, we want to encourage those who call The Bridge their home to check out and support local events and live missionally in our community.
June 6, 6pm-9pm: The Color of Music - Grand Opening @ Elysian Gallery
June 7, 12pm-4pm: All-Wheels Drive-In Car Show in Downtown Alton
Serve with Bridge Kids! One of the most vital ministries of our church is Bridge Kids. Our ministry team consists of over 60 volunteers! Volunteers commit to serve one Sunday a month for a year, and are equipped with the tools they need to minister to our Bridge Kids. We need volunteers for all ages (birth-5th grade) for the upcoming school year. To ensure a safe and welcoming environment for our kids, all volunteers must complete The Bridge’s “Five Safety Steps” before serving. Ready to make a difference? Contact Natalie Runyon to set up a shadow day.
Men's Bible Study-Tuesday mornings from 7-8, the men of The Bridge meet to study and discuss the upcoming week's sermon text. Coffee and donuts are provided.
Community Groups- There are a variety of Community Groups that meet throughout the year. To find a Community Group that’s right for you, or to learn more about leading or hosting a group, see Pastor Jon.
